Scrap Our Stash - Apr Sketch

Loved this sketch by Laura Whitaker for Scrap Our Stash - just had to give it a go with this happy picture of my eldest daughter and one of my sister's pooches.  Lil just can't get enough of them.  :)

I used some of the new Amy Tangerine line Rise and Shine as the colours are so bright and happy and I thought of them as soon as I saw the moodboard.  Also did a few watercolour splashes for the background and some watercolour pencil work for the panel behind the photo.

Thanks for looking.

New Kelly Purkey

I didn't realise it had been so long since I posted here!  I think winter, and post retreat blues are the cause.  Anyway, I did manage to get creative with the wonderful new Kelly Purkey line Second City that I won on her blog a month or so ago.  I just love the pops of purple in the line and the overall theme.

I pulled together this layout about my son at 9, to go along with Scrap The Boys current challenge to prepare a layout that is a profile page.  I hope that in years to come he enjoys looking back at what his favourites were at this age.  All elements are from Second City.

Bonds - LPS April Mood

I loved the colours in this months Mood Challenge from Life.Paper.Scrapbook.  I created a layout with a bit of advice for my son on what his sisters will mean to him in the future and to try and show more love, rather than just being frustrated with having two little sisters.  Thanks for looking and for any comments you might leave - they are appreciated.

Just For Fun with a Big Bow

I mentioned that I have been suffering from a lack of mojo.  Well I started playing with my mists and watercolours, and just getting messy, and now I am back to wanting to scrap all the time.  I just don't care if it isn't exactly as I saw in my head, I just go with it and count it as another layout done.

Anyway, I sat down last week when I was sick to do the same - just play, and ended up creating this layout. I always struggle with embies, and what to put where, but decided to try a big bow after having read the latest issue of  Jot.  When I saw their call for layouts with big bows, I though - "not me", but then when I saw the layouts from the DT, well I changed my mind.  I love the addition of the bow on this one. It's a layout about my youngest daughter who just loves clothes, shoes and accessories.  I'm sure if she could wear more than 1 pair of shoes at a time, the way she does headbands, she would do that too...

Fairy Magic - Scrapbook Creations Inspiration

Here is my first ever layout for the Scrapbook Creations monthly challenge.  I just loved the colours in the inspiration pic and used it as the inspiration for my misty background.

This one is of my eldest daughter who loves to dress up.  She loves to wear her older brothers old Spiderman and Superman dress-up clothes, so for Christmas I bought her a princess dress and a fairy costume.  She loved them - until she put the fairy one on.  She looks lovely, but she hates the scratchy shoulders.  :)  Back to the Spidey costumes for her.  Thanks for visiting and especially for your comments. :)

Happy Days - Scrap The Boys

It's been such a long time since I've had the mojo to scrap.  I've wanted to, but something has stopped me getting the creative ball rolling, despite reading many blogs and finding inspiring layouts.  Bottom of the wave, I guess....  I managed to get two layouts done this month - one that took a while, agonising over decisions, and the other that fell together in 30 mins.

Here is my layout for the Scrap The Boys challenge this month - a challenge to use the colours yellow, blue and green together.  This is a layout of my water boy.  :)  Thanks for looking and for your comments.

Chic Tags Nov 17 Sketch

I went to a great scrap day with my friend Kate and decided to have a go and the latest Chic Tags sketch.  I love their products, but admit that I don't yet have any.  :(  Anyway, I decided to give this multi-photo sketch a try with pics from a day out in the Watagan mountains near home.  We went 4 wheel driving, then bushwalking (with leeches - eek!), then had a picnic lunch.  The kids loved it and so did we.

Thanks for looking.  :)
